Job Path’s Community Connections program enables people to develop strong connections with their neighbors and communities, find volunteer jobs, pursue continuing education, and develop skills by providing individualized, community-based support. Community Connections is expanding to include weekend support. Job Path is seeking a Program Assistant who will be responsible for coordinating support and supervising a team of Direct Support Professionals. The Program Assistant will also be responsible for assisting the Community Connections department in training incoming DSPs and providing shadowing opportunities. The ideal candidate is reliable and flexible with their schedule, able to work in person on weekends, displays leadership skills, and has an in-depth knowledge of the community based support for people with developmental disabilities. Program Assistant will be responsible for training new staff, which includes shadowing, teaching them how to work with participants, how to do administrative tasks, etc. They will also be responsible for covering shifts as needed.
