COASTAL COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF SC INCNorth Charleston, SC

About The Position

Charleston Education Partners (CEP) is a nonprofit organization working to ensure that every child in Charleston, especially those in historically underserved communities, has access to an excellent public school. CEP partners directly with schools and communities to support meaningful, sustained school improvement. Rather than implementing one-size-fits-all programs, CEP begins with a comprehensive needs assessment to understand each school’s unique strengths and challenges. From there, CEP works alongside school leaders, educators, and families to design and support solutions that may include strengthening instruction, improving school culture, building leadership capacity, and deepening family and community engagement. CEP’s work is grounded in the belief that durable change happens when schools are supported holistically and in partnership with the communities they serve. CEP is seeking a highly motivated intern to support program development, parent and community engagement, and school-based work. This role is ideal for someone interested in education, equity, and systems-level school improvement. The intern will work closely with CEP leadership to support early-stage program design and implementation, particularly connected to CEP’s work with schools.
