About The Position

The Leidos Digital Modernization Group is seeking a Project Analyst to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team. In this role you will support the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Eastern Service Area (ESA). This is an in office position located in College Park, GA Duties for the position include but are not limited to: Hotline, FOIA & Privacy Act Response Management: Lead end-to-end processing of Safety Hotline complaints, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and Privacy Act requests—conducting thorough research, coordinating with subject matter experts, and preparing accurate, timely written responses in accordance with FAA/DOT policies and statutory requirements. Research & Regulatory Analysis: Utilize FAA/DOT systems, internal databases, and open-source/public information to gather and analyze operational and policy data, ensuring responses are complete, legally sound, and aligned with air traffic regulations and guidance. Written Response Preparation & Editorial Review: Draft, edit, and finalize high-visibility correspondence—including executive, Congressional, and safety-related responses—applying FAA writing standards, Plain Language principles, and strict quality control for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Correspondence Tracking & Performance Reporting: Manage tracking systems and performance metrics for complaints and information requests; develop status reports and executive briefings that provide leadership with clear insight into trends, timeliness, and compliance. Process Improvement & SOP Development: Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that strengthen response consistency, documentation practices, and regulatory compliance while improving efficiency and coordination across Service Center and Resource Management Group functions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years Air Traffic experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust suitability
  • FAA Air Traffic operational experience with the ability to manage projects against milestones and goals
  • Systematically gather and analyze information

  • Interpret and apply laws, policies, and regulations

  • Provide well-reasoned recommendations and advice
  • Demonstrated experience drafting and editing research reports, controlled correspondence, and briefing materials tailored to diverse audiences, with strong command of grammar, style, accuracy, formatting, and attention to detail
  • Skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and database systems
  • Effective use of the Internet for research and communication
  • Ability to maintain organized documentation and records management systems

Responsibilities
