About The Position

Instacart is hiring a Program Analyst, Legal Compliance Program to support the Legal Risk and Compliance function and the systems and workflows that enable the compliance program to be visible, efficient and effective. You will focus on execution, data analyst, tooling support, reporting, documentation, and workflow upkeep across the Risk and Compliance teams. This role sits within Risk and Compliance in the Legal organization. You will partner closely with Legal and business stakeholders to collect and analyze data, support workflows, maintain tools, troubleshoot issues, and track operational improvements. This is an individual contributor role focused on support and execution rather than ownership of strategy or tooling architecture. This role sits within the Risk & Compliance team and operates as a force-multiplier for the team: you’ll connect data to on-the-ground compliance execution, ensuring that requirements are monitored, evaluated and actioned. This is an individual contributor role, while you won’t have direct reports, but you’ll support complex, multi-org programs and influence senior stakeholders across the company.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in compliance programs, project management, or a related role.
  • Experience pulling reports, maintaining trackers, or working with operational data.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfort supporting systems, troubleshooting issues, and following documented processes.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Exposure to compliance, regulatory, quality, or audit environments (hardware compliance, product compliance, or regulatory affairs is a plus).
  • Experience working with external vendors, testing labs, or certification bodies.
  • Familiarity with compliance documentation requirements and standards.
  • Basic understanding of data visualization tools (Mode, Tableau, etc).
  • Experience with process documentation or creating standard operating procedures.

  • Maintain trackers and dashboards to monitor workflow volume, turnaround times, and issue trends.
  • Support analysis of workflow performance and help track the impact of process improvements.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across reports and trackers.
  • Maintain compliance data and tracking systems
  • Own data hygiene and accuracy across compliance tracking tools (Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, internal databases).
  • Update compliance dashboards, status trackers, and reporting systems with current information on program health, certification status, and regulatory obligations.
  • Conduct regular data audits to identify and correct inconsistencies, missing information, or outdated records.
  • Create and maintain organized repositories of compliance documentation, ensuring easy retrieval and version control.
  • Create and maintain internal documentation, guides, FAQs, and training materials.
  • Ensure documentation remains accurate, discoverable, and aligned with current workflows.
  • Program and Project support
  • Support Legal Risk & Compliance Programs initiatives by tracking tasks, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Assist with rollouts, communications, and change support for new tools or workflow updates.
  • Provide clear status updates and flag risks or issues as needed.
  • Use AI-enabled tools to support drafting, summarization, intake triage, and documentation work.
