Responsible management position for Native Workforce Development and the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and Native Employment Works Program. Collaborates with all funding and entities to create employment, training, and educational opportunities on a year-round basis. Work involves planning, directing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating functions to remain within established regulations and policies as dictated by funding source. Ensures all sponsors are following federal guidelines and tribal policies. Ensures necessary documents are on file to comply with federal and tribal regulations; personal client information is kept confidential; payroll actions are submitted; timesheets are submitted; stipends are submitted, and participants receive their paychecks in a timely manner. Recruiting programs to host employees and working with those programs on a regular basis during the employment timeframe, including creating evaluations for programs to complete after employment, to gather measurable data. This position requires close working relationship with local schools to assist eligible participants to meet graduation requirements; obtain driving permit, driver's education training and driver's license; participate in leadership training and conferences; meet school requirements for academic progress and attendance. Will be initial contact for NWD customers (applicants) with the responsibility of securing all documentation to conduct a complete NWD intake for customers. Responsible for initial assessment of NWD customers, including developing Individual Employment Plan (IEP), and processes participants applications and makes recommendations for placement to Program Manager. Responsible for establishing and maintaining customer files to meet Workforce Investment Act Standards regarding training/employment plan, daily contacts, and group sessions. Assists with dissemination of program information, worksite development, worksite monitors, intake and selection process, client eligibility determination, required reports and payroll distribution. Develop plans and partnerships that encourage participants to achieve their needs, including GED & training, and process incentive payments as plans dictate. Will be responsible for processing payroll actions and assisting in any necessary orientations. This position will also process documents into the D365 system. Must be able to assist with administrative duties, clerical skills duties and take leadership roles in all counseling activities. Must be able to work with other education, employment training entities and can interpret Federal, Tribal, State and County Regulations and policies. This position will keep records/ cuff accounts to ensure that all program activity is documented properly. This position will be a "Supervisor" in iSolved. Will work with other programs within the tribal workforce, as well as outside programs and agencies, including attending trainings, coalitions, and maintaining and establishing partnerships and planning and organizing events. Will keep running list or program applicants, and schedule intakes according to eligibility. Will have role in the Division of Indian & Native American Programs participant reporting system, and will actively log, track, and update participants files.
