About The Position

Provides financial, administrative, and basic program support to Program Analyst, Project Manager and Program Managers in the execution of government contracts. Assists with day-to-day operational activities, analytical support, project controls, reporting, tracking routine program data and compliance activities to ensure programs remain on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with internal procedures, contract requirements and FAR guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience serving as an analyst in planning, developing, coordinating, and conducting analyses for overall operational efficiencies/inefficiencies, program-related trends, effectiveness in achieving planned goals, objectives, and milestones, and effective budgetary/resource utilization.
  • Experience in preparing reports and supporting program management activities.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to organize, track, and maintain financial and contractual documentation.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn advanced project control and financial management techniques.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Possess or be able to obtain/maintain at minimum a SECRET clearance.
  • Must be proficient in current Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel and SharePoint programs.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
  • A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with government contract environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Costpoint or similar financial systems preferred.
  • Basic working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and government contract compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in collecting, organizing, and maintaining cost, labor, and material data for reporting and forecasting.
  • Maintains contract files, financial records, and supporting documentation in accordance with company and government requirements.
  • Supports preparation of routine reports by compiling and formatting data provided by analysts, regional leads and project manager.
  • Tracks action items, deliverables, and due dates and follows up with team members as needed.
  • Supports preparation of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables and government submittals.
  • Supports project setup and closeout activities in accordance with company and contract standards.
  • Supports Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC) development through data validation and reconciliation.
  • Supports new vendor application processing and onboarding documentation.
  • Supports funding request documentation and data preparation.
  • Coordinates with internal departments (finance, contracts, procurement) to resolve data discrepancies and provides invoicing support.
  • Coordinates meetings, prepares agendas, records meeting minutes, and distributes notes.
  • Provides travel coordination and expense documentation in accordance with company policy.
  • Provides general administrative and analytical support to Program Analysts, Program Managers, and Operations staff.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
