About The Position

This position is responsible for: Leading children’s activities at an after-school program, including classroom training, tutoring, sports activities, bible study, computer programs and specialized programs; prepares and serves children lunch and snacks; assists in leading field trips; maintains the cleanliness of the after school area; transports passengers in a Salvation Army vehicle.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required, AND One to two years’ experience teaching child development programs, OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Valid State Driver’s License
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively.
• Ability to observe children and ensure their safety.
• Ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle safely observing all laws, regulations, and policies.
• Ability to pass DOT requirements to drive a Salvation Army mid bus or other DOT vehicle if requested.
