Impact our community’s youth by becoming a part of H.A.R.D.’s Mobile Recreation Program this summer! The Mobile Recreation Program aims to bring new, unique experiences to the youth and their families. We aim to provide equipment and activities that our community members may not have an opportunity to experience in their day-to-day lives. Activities include a Mobile 28-ft Rockwall, Cornhole, Spikeball, Giant Jenga, Giant Connect Four, Skateboards, Scooters and other outdoor equipment. The Mobile Recreation Program typically operates every 2nd and 4th weekend of every month and other events as needed. Each event is held at different locations in the District, so you’ll have an opportunity to visit all of our parks! The primary responsibilities of this position are assisting the Mobile Recreation Lead in creating and leading our programs, mentoring volunteers, and providing excellent customer service to children, their parents and their caregivers. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for working with children and be ready to jump in when needed. Training will be provided. This is a year-round, part-time position working up to 12 hours per week. Availability on weekends is a must. Here are the details about the positions: Available Positions: 3 Hourly Rate: $17.74/hour - $23.94/hour Work Schedule: Up to 12 hours/week on Saturday and Sundays Typical Work hours: Between the hours of 9:00AM – 5:00PM Part-Time, Year-Round, Hourly, Non-Exempt Position Work Location: Multiple Parks in the District Anticipated Start Date: ASAP Not to exceed 960 hours per fiscal year. (July 1 – June 30) This posting may close at any time. POSITION SUMMARY Under supervision, assists with the implementation of all age appropriate curriculum and activities related to the daily operation of a District program site in order to ensure the safety and well-being of participants and perform related work as required. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS Incumbents in this class are primarily responsible for assisting with supervision to participants enrolled in the program; implementing age appropriate curriculum; establishing and maintaining supportive relationships with public; and sanitization of program equipment. This class can be distinguished from the class of Program Instructor because incumbents in this class primarily serve as aides and do not have advanced education to perform work more independently.
