The Program Administrator/Program Manager IV leads the development, implementation, and ongoing management of complex, high-impact programs supporting research, quality, patient safety, and institute-level initiatives. This role will provide program leadership for large, multi-project efforts such as the Quantum and IBM Discovery Accelerator Program, requiring strong project management expertise, proficiency with PM tools, and the ability to coordinate and sustain multiple concurrent initiatives. Reporting to Dr. Jehi, this position plays a key role in ensuring programs remain organized, aligned, and successfully executed across diverse stakeholders. A caregiver in this role will work 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Science or a related field required
  • Requires knowledge of budgeting, cost analysis, manpower planning, supervision and operational analysis
  • Minimum five years’ relevant experience including a minimum of two years managing large projects
  • Organizational, personnel and financial management experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in health services research and administration, business or a related discipline preferred and may offset some of the experience requirement
  • Health care experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the organizational and managerial expertise necessary to support high functioning programs in any combination of the following areas: research, quality and patient safety and/or specific Institute/Division initiatives.
  • Perform analysis, compile data and advise the Department Chairs relative to long-range planning strategies, department organization, financial forecasting, personnel management, patient relations, space and equipment, marketing strategies and external institution relations.
  • Ensure department is properly staffed with skilled and trained support personnel. Effectively schedule staff to ensures coverage of all department functions.
  • Provide orientation to new employees consistent with Foundation and Joint Commission guidelines.
  • Prepare, manage and monitor the annual budget including projecting patient levels, revenue, technical and professional fees, equipment expenditures, staff and employee growth and space and remodeling needs.
  • Plan, develop and execute marketing analysis to determine the department market position; interprets findings and makes recommendations.
  • Make decisions regarding employment, compensation, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions and terminations; conduct performance evaluations, provide career development and educational opportunity counseling to employees.
  • Guide and advise employees in more complex aspects of their work.
