SCOPE OF ROLE : The role of the Program Activity Coordinator is to plan and implement a variety of activities, with input from participants, that promote social interaction, physical health, and mental wellbeing. They should be able to work closely with families and other staff members to ensure that activities are suitable and beneficial for participants. They should have the ability to organize logistics for activities including referrals to outside and community-based activities. They are required to be able to develop a rapport with people with complex needs, diverse ethnicities, backgrounds, ages, and sexual preferences .
