About The Position

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) has a unique combination of education, research, and clinical programs that encourages and supports teamwork and diversity. The Professor (MD) will provide surgical patient care to Vascular Surgery Patients. This position is also expected to promote academic excellence, provide patient care (when applicable), search for translational opportunities, and promote the health & wellness of Arkansans.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Medical Degree (MD/DO) required.
  • General Surgery Residency Training.
  • ACGME-accredited Vascular Surgery fellowship.
  • Eligible for Arkansas Medical License.
  • American Board of Surgery eligible.
  • DEA License or eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coordination, continuity, and consistency in patient care, community outreach, research, and instruction.
  • Perform various responsibilities in the areas of patient care, medical education, and/or research.
  • Perform direct patient care, medical teaching, and research collaborations.
  • Engage in clinical care and/or scholarly activities that advance clinical medicine are to be included.
