ACADEMIC SURGICAL PATHOLOGIST DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY & LABORATORY MEDICINE UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE MEDICAL CENTER LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY The Department of Pathology at the University of Louisville continues to experience a robust phase of growth and expansion and is seeking a full-time academic Surgical Pathologist. This position offers some flexibility in scheduling and may be filled at 0.8 to 1.0 FTE. In addition, this position could potentially offer leadership opportunities commensurate with the candidate’s expertise and qualifications. Candidates should have a strong interest in promoting the academic mission, including maintaining scholarly activities and participating in graduate and undergraduate medical education. Applicants should have fellowship training or a strong and proven interest in one or more specialty area. Candidates with expertise/training in one or more of the following practice areas will be prioritized: medical renal, thoracic/lung, gynecologic, head and neck, bone & soft tissue, cytopathology, dermatopathology. Prior work experience in an academic setting is desirable. A track record of educational achievements and publications demonstrating clinical and scientific accomplishments is also desirable. The selected candidate will join a team of accomplished and high-energy faculty who embody collaborative teamwork and foster a welcoming environment. The applicants should be board certified in anatomic or combined anatomic and clinical pathology and be qualified for an unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and academic achievements.
