The Division of Social Sciences at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, invites applicants for a full-time, non-tenure-eligible faculty position as a Professor of Practice in Legal Studies. Founded in 1854, Hamline was the first university in Minnesota and among the first coeducational institutions in the nation, providing a world-class education for undergraduate and graduate students. The university's faculty, staff, and students cultivate an ethic of civic responsibility, social justice, and inclusive leadership and service. The successful candidate will teach 7 courses per academic year within the undergraduate and graduate Legal Studies programs, including the Graduate Paralegal Certificate and the Master in the Study of Law. Courses are delivered in person, hybrid, and online in synchronous and asynchronous modalities. The Legal Studies program at Hamline combines a broad interdisciplinary focus with a depth of pre-professional skills needed for various law-related fields. Undergraduates have access to opportunities such as a Law and Society major and a Law School Early Admission program.
