About The Position

Florida SouthWestern State College is accepting resumes in search of a Professor, Education (TESOL), in the School of Education to join our team of exceptional faculty. As an FSW faculty member, you have the opportunity to directly impact the college's mission to inspire our students to ' Dedicate to Graduate'. Work includes conducting and teaching courses in the evenings in the Live Online (Zoom) modality within the prescribed curriculum for students enrolled at the College; preparing and delivering lectures to students; compiling, administering and grading examinations; and providing academic assistance to students as needed Florida SouthWestern State College’s School of Education provides a rigorous learning environment, ensuring teacher candidates will achieve their greatest potential through Principles of Excellence. Requirements

  • Doctoral or master's degree in TESOL, Bilingual Education, or TESOL Literacy from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the teaching discipline, or a master’s degree with a concentration in related TESOL, Bilingual Education, and/or Curriculum and Instruction courses (a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline)
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught

Responsibilities

  • Conducting and teaching courses in the evenings in the Live Online (Zoom) modality within the prescribed curriculum for students enrolled at the College
