About The Position

Molloy's Tutoring Services tutors are responsible for providing students with individualized assistance for course content and assignments. Professional Tutors lead one-on-one or small group lessons.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of Algebra teaching or Algebra tutoring experience on the college level.

Nice To Haves

• NYS Algebra Teaching certification

Responsibilities

• Reviewing syllabi topics and assignments with the student/s.
• Assist students with homework, test preparation and other academic tasks.
• Work with students to help them understand key Algebra concepts, especially those learned in the classroom.
• Assist students to improve their academic performance, including study strategies, note-taking skills, and approaches to answering test questions.
• Develop and distribute teaching materials to supplement classroom lessons, including study guides.
• Providing students with positive and constructive feedback.
• Expertise in teaching at the college level would complement this role.
