About The Position

Perform minor level repairs on trucks and trailers. Operate CDL semi-tractor assets routinely to Conduct regular preventative maintenance on semi-trucks/trailers. Perform DOT Inspections, including safety and brake inspections. Perform scheduled paperwork updates on assets, trucks, trailers. Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs in a timely manner. Temporarily fill vacant regional positions due to others time off, vacancy, or new project. Perform regular asset paperwork updates with administration personnel. Report defects, accidents, or violations to managers and mechanics and schedule repairs. Document vehicle records and report both manually and via computer. Lead by example with work ethic, jobsite safety, and proper operation of assets. He will operate both a company pickup and a company semi.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of diesel technician and/or maintenance experience and/or fleet experience.
  • Preventative maintenance expertise.
  • Knowledge of truck and trailer operation.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Deadline and detail oriented.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl along with intermittent standing, sitting, pushing and pulling.
  • Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
  • Valid Class A CDL Driver license and clean driving record (MVR).
