About The Position

Walterboro Ford is expanding our Ford Mobile Service program and we’re looking for a motivated, reliable Mobile Service Technician to join our team. This role delivers dealership-quality maintenance and light repair services directly to customers at their home or workplace. If you enjoy independence, customer interaction, and working with the latest Ford technology — this is a unique opportunity to grow with a fast-expanding service model. The Ford Mobile Service Technician provides dealership-quality maintenance and light repair services at off-site customer locations using a fully equipped Ford Mobile Service vehicle. This position plays a critical role in customer satisfaction, retention, and brand trust by delivering professional, efficient, and friendly service outside the traditional shop environment.

Requirements

  • Automotive technician experience (Ford experience preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license & clean driving record
  • Strong work ethic and customer-first mindset
  • Ability to work independently and stay organized
  • Automotive technician experience required
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors as needed
  • Strong time management and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Ford certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance at customer locations
  • Operate a fully equipped Ford Mobile Service van
  • Deliver a top-tier customer experience
  • Communicate clearly with customers and the service team
  • Represent the Walterboro Ford brand in the community
  • Perform routine maintenance including: Oil & filter changes Tire rotations Brake service (light) Batteries Filters Recalls and software updates
  • Safely operate and maintain the Mobile Service van and equipment
  • Follow all Ford repair procedures and safety standards
  • Accurately document all repair orders, inspections, and services performed
  • Greet customers professionally and explain services clearly
  • Provide transparent recommendations without pressure
  • Answer customer questions and build trust in the Ford brand
  • Ensure work areas remain clean and respectful of customer property
  • Coordinate daily routes and schedules with the Mobile Service Coordinator
  • Communicate service findings and follow-up needs to advisors
  • Notify management of additional repair opportunities discovered onsite
  • Maintain proper parts inventory on the Mobile Service vehicle
  • Report supply needs and restock as required
  • Keep the Mobile Service van clean, organized, and inspection-ready
