The Mobile Service Technician will perform light vehicle repair and maintenance work at a customer’s home or place of business as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Receives repair orders from dispatcher and performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Drives fully loaded full-size Ford Transit to the repair site. Perform repairs such as certain recalls, software updates, brakes, certain accessories, batteries, wipers, filters, lamps, plugs, and belts. Verifies, diagnosis and estimates repair work to be performed. Documents work performed (input story in computer) and keep service advisor informed of status of vehicle. Responsible for completing all documentation to meet manufacture specifications. Possesses customer service skills. Exhibits the ability to self-manage and self-motivate. Attends factory-sponsored training classes and keep abreast of manufacture updates and technical bulletins. Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean and in the condition prior to repair work. Communicates with the parts department to obtain needed parts. Saves and tags parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by customer. Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as disposal of hazardous waste and OSHA safety rules. Requires being at work on time and have satisfactory attendance.
