About The Position

Primary Purpose The Sales Lead is responsible for driving sales performance within their region, mentoring team members, and developing strong client relationships within an assigned territory. This role involves leading sales initiatives, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the team meets and exceeds sales targets. The Sales Lead will engage with both prospective and existing clients, present tailored solutions, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize the sales process. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, results-driven, and an excellent communicator who thrives in a leadership role. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys coaching and developing a sales team, fostering client relationships, and working in a fast-paced, competitive environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2-3 years of proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse client profiles.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals and thrive in a results-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Quarterly travel to each regional salesperson.
  • Develop, track, and manage sales department KPI’s.
  • Sets direction, manages, and tracks sales leads for the outside sales team.
  • Requires knowledge and use of Zen Desk CRM system.
  • Assisting in hiring new regional outside sales team members.
  • Training, coaching, and driving performance for each of the outside sales team members.
  • Identify and engage with potential customers within the assigned territory to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Conduct regular visits to clients’ locations to demonstrate products, understand their needs, and provide solutions that align with their business goals.
  • Develop and implement a territory sales plan that aligns with overall business goals and growth targets.
  • Present and demonstrate products or services, highlighting key features, benefits, and unique selling points to address client needs.
  • Negotiate terms, close sales, and follow up with clients to secure contracts and fulfill orders.
  • Conduct market research to identify new leads, understand industry trends, and monitor competitor activities.
  • Use knowledge of the market to identify potential product or service gaps and make recommendations to the sales team and management.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to expand the client base and stay informed on industry developments.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and progress in the CRM system.
  • Track and report on sales metrics, including pipeline, leads, conversions, and achieved sales targets, to evaluate performance and strategize improvements.
  • Provide feedback on customer needs, product improvements, and market trends to the sales and product development teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the products Country Supplier sells.
  • Other duties assigned as needed.
