Position Overview The Professional Manager leads a supported living home and the team that makes independence possible for the individual served. This role combines leadership, advocacy, and coordination . You will guide staff, support individuals in achieving their goals, and ensure services meet state standards and agency expectations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Services, or related field (or 4+ years relevant experience)
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience
  • At least 1 year working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Direct Support Professional certification
  • Must be able to pass Family Care Safety Registry and criminal background check

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership Supervise and coach Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
  • Model and teach BSL's core values
  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback and support
  • Address attendance, accountability, and performance issues
  • Individual Support & Care Coordination Understand and implement the individual's ISP, medical, and behavioral plans
  • Coordinate services with families, guardians, and healthcare providers
  • Ensure individuals receive consistent, person-centered care
  • Operations & Compliance Ensure services meet state regulations and agency standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Prepare for and participate in service monitoring and inspections
  • Communication Maintain strong communication with staff, families, and leadership
  • Address concerns proactively and ensure continuity of care
  • Administrative Oversight Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and household operations
  • Ensure financial documentation and purchasing procedures are followed
