About The Position

Licensed Professional Engineers provide professional services involving the application of engineering principles and data, or activities in connection with public or private utilities, structures, buildings, machines, equipment or projects impacting the public welfare or the safeguarding of life, health or property. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. Located in Elko, this position entails applying advanced engineering principles to the design, management, and oversight of projects that impact public safety, health, and welfare. These roles require independent professional judgment, technical expertise, and adherence to regulatory standards across areas such as construction, utilities, and equipment design. Engineers are responsible for planning and coordinating projects to ensure timely completion, regulatory compliance, and fiscal efficiency. Duties also include preparing and reviewing technical documentation, presenting complex engineering information, and collaborating with consultants, contractors, and governmental agencies to achieve project objectives.
