About The Position
This internship will play a crucial role in supporting the planning and execution of the Intro to High-Performance Computing (HPC) Bootcamp, hosted by Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF) in August 2026. The intern will engage in all aspects of the bootcamp planning and execution, gaining experience in event planning, project management, and content evaluation. Primary responsibilities include supporting bootcamp project management, maintaining and administering bootcamp surveys, and offering valuable feedback from a student perspective to enhance the learning experience of bootcamp participants. Additionally, the intern will help improve documentation to support a sustainable annual planning process. This opportunity will strengthen the intern’s leadership, organizational, and communication skills, while contributing to the success of the bootcamp and its participants.
Requirements
- The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States.
- Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution.
- Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months; or
- Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
- Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
- Must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- If accepting an offer, candidates may be required to complete pre-employment drug testing based on appointment length. All students remain subject to applicable drug testing policies.
- Must complete a satisfactory background check.
