Requirements

  • BA/BS degree preferred, or equivalent experience in industrial management or production supervision.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a production environment, preferably in Food & Beverage.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).
  • Working knowledge of production equipment, scheduling, inventory control, and financial analysis (P&L).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of basic microbiology and quality assurance, including HACCP and GMPs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead production teams, including direct supervision of associates and coordination with department managers.
  • Oversee all direct and indirect production processes to ensure timely delivery of finished products.
  • Set daily workload schedules and coordinate with internal departments to meet product and equipment needs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of parts, supplies, and equipment; complete daily/period end cycle counts.
  • Responsible for safe operation, start-up, changeover, shutdown, and preventative maintenance of production equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Canadian federal and provincial regulations, including WHMIS, Employment Standards Act, and environmental health and safety requirements.
  • Verify accuracy of work through QA line checks and load-in/load-out verification.
  • Ensure plant operations adhere to quality assurance standards, including HACCP, GMPs, and company-specific QA protocols.
  • Provide general plant and facility clean-up (5S) and maintain a safe, clean working environment.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving and continual process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and maintain production permits and compliance documentation as per Canadian standards.
  • Report production activity and results to management on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Select, hire, train, and evaluate associates to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in compliance with Canadian labour laws.
  • Communicate production targets and priorities to manufacturing and support teams.
  • Flexibility to work weekends as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
