About The Position

The Production Worker in the Skewers Department is responsible for preparing and packaging meat skewers according to NSP standards and production specifications. The role involves handling raw materials, maintaining quality and hygiene standards, and supporting continuous production flow.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food and meat processing or packaging preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety, quality control and hygiene practices is a plus.
• Ability to follow packaging instructions and guidelines.
• Ability to work in cold and/or refrigerated environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English with strong verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Spanish is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble and pack meat skewers by hand or using semi-automated equipment.
• Ensure products meet visual, weight, and quality specifications.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and quality guidelines (HACCP, GMP)
• Assist in the setup and cleanup of workstations and equipment.
• Operate simple machinery and tools used in the skewering process when necessary.
• Report defective products or equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Assist with packing, labeling, or other tasks as assigned.
• Maintain accurate counts and packaging standards.
• Work efficiently to meet production targets.
• Other duties as assigned.
