Sizemore, Inc. is looking for second shift welders in Edgefield, SC! Previous welding experience is required. True temp-to-perm opportunity at 90 days! Starting Pay Rate: $17-$17.50 per hour Schedule: 2nd shift (3p-1a) shift will likely train on 1st shift (5a-3p) before moving to 2nd shift (3p-1a) Sizemore is seeking a reliable and skilled Production Welder to join our client's production team. In this role, you will weld plates to headers, assemble radiators in fixtures, and ensure product quality with a leak rate of 10% or below. This position is hands‑on and essential to maintaining the high manufacturing standards of our radiator products.

Requirements

  • Previous welding experience is required.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
  • Lifting and carrying between 10–100 lbs, depending on task. Use of hoists for heavier loads.
  • Strong hand‑eye coordination, manual dexterity, basic math, and reasoning skills.
  • Are safety‑conscious and detail‑oriented
  • Demonstrate strong welding ability and reliability
  • Are comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
  • Can follow detailed instructions and complete documentation accurately
  • Ability to pass a criminal background, employment verification and pass a pre-employment and random employment drug screens.

Responsibilities

  • Load fixtures – Required for correct setup and welding.
  • Weld radiators – Essential for maintaining acceptable leak rates.
  • Clean radiators – Ensures finished products are free of weld splatter.
  • Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Use required PPE and comply with all safety procedures; report unsafe conditions and attend scheduled safety training.
  • Follow quality procedures, drawings, and work instructions; complete required tests, inspections, and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Comply with environmental procedures, including proper chemical handling and understanding MSDS documentation.
  • Start up and shut down welding machines and fixtures; understand breaker and power switch locations.
  • Read and interpret work forms using strong reading and math skills.
  • Assemble radiators in fixtures and weld according to assignment.
  • Operate hoists to remove completed radiators safely.
  • Inspect radiators for nonconformance following approved criteria.
  • Complete production and quality documents with accuracy and clear penmanship.
