Siemens Mobility, Rolling Stock Division is the North American market leader in the production of passenger locomotives and coaches, and light rail vehicles. As a Production Welder I, you will support a broad range of welding, alignment, and assembly activities in a dynamic, high-energy production environment in the fabrication of carbon steel and stainless-steel car bodies for the best rail vehicles in the world. Hours are 2nd Shift: 4:00pm - 2:30am, Monday - Thursday

Requirements

  • High school education or state recognized GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Practical welding test will be required for all candidates to assess skills.
  • General mechanical background.
  • Fully understand manufacturing drawings, able to verify dimensions.
  • Capable of basic written and verbal communication in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of torch and plasma equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize production blueprints, parts lists, sketches, and verbal instructions to execute electronic or manual welding tasks, including standard and repetitive assembly operations.
  • Construct and assemble routine welded units such as subassemblies and mounted parts with precision.
  • Conduct visual inspections and adhere to established quality checks to ensure the highest standards are met.
