About The Position

The Production Utility Worker is a versatile role responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, quality, and efficiency of brewing and packaging operations. This position is critical in ensuring high-quality kombucha production by performing various tasks across the cellar, fermentation, brewing, and packaging areas. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrates attention to detail, and upholds strict food safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time, 3-4 hrs continuously
  • Frequently lift up 50 lb boxes using proper lifting techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in brewing, beverage production, or related fields is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CIP processes and food safety standards is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Execute cleaning procedures on packaging lines.
  • Run Clean-In-Place (CIP) cycles for all three packaging lines, ensuring sanitation standards are met.
  • Perform swab and conductivity testing to verify cleaning effectiveness.
  • Record all data accurately in CIP logs.
  • Clean tanks, lines, and hoses to maintain sanitary conditions.
  • Transfer liquids efficiently and safely.
  • Fill and carbonate kombucha in brite tanks ahead of packaging.
  • Manage juice and extract additions while maintaining detailed records and logs.
  • Brew kombucha by mixing tea and herbs based on established formulations.
  • Operate brewing equipment such as the sugar crane and auger accurately and safely.
  • Clean and maintain steeping tanks and the brew room to ensure optimal operation.
  • Assist in operating packaging lines as needed, including operator and support roles.
  • Conduct required quality checks and maintain detailed log entries.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to adhere to food safety programs.
  • Perform general cleaning, stocking, and upkeep tasks (e.g., cleaning floors, maintaining sprayers and sani-buckets).
