About The Position

Production Trainers Needed– Lafayette Service Center Do you take pride in developing others? Are you focused on quality and safety? Do you have experience with training in a manufacturing environment? If so, we want you on our team. The Kirby Risk Service Center, a division of Kirby Risk Corporation specializing in the manufacturing of electrical wiring and control panels, is looking for dedicated trainers to lead on-the-job training and support the development of new and existing employees. What You’ll Do as a Trainer In this role, you’ll deliver on-the-job training to new and existing employees. Work closely with production management, quality, and safety to ensure all employees are trained in accordance with company standards, safety regulations, and production processes.

Requirements

High School diploma/GED & 2+ years experience in manufacturing/production environment
Ability to accurately measure, use tools, interpret visual aids, decern color and performs simple shop math
Ability to detect and correct quality problems
Fulfills obligations while demonstrating dependability, reliability, and responsiveness
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite to allow for continual updating of training materials

Responsibilities

Conducts and records on-the-job training for new hires, cross-training, and continuous learning for existing employees
Update and maintain training materials, manuals, and job aids
Evaluate employee’s training performance and provide feedback to supervisors
Maintain accurate training records and track employee training status
Communicate training needs with production managers and quality
Participate in the onboarding of agency associates, new hire orientation, and plant training sessions
Provide hands-on demonstrations, education, and performance feedback for production processes
