About The Position

Production Trainer - Harvest is responsible for teaching and guiding new hires during their training period to ensure successful comprehension of production skills. They are additionally responsible for continued development of team member’s job knowledge and skill sets after they are qualified in their initial position. Trainers are expected to be the primary example of appropriate behavior, attitude and respect for others using a continuous improvement mentality and will work to perpetuate a “Creekstone Proud” culture through attitude and actions.

Requirements

  • Beef Harvest experience required
  • Ability to teach, coach and develop others into becoming a better employee
  • Ability to build professional relationships and influence others
  • Ability to work in hot manufacturing environment, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Clear communication skills – verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner
  • Ability to foster an atmosphere of teamwork and respect
  • Able to work productively and independently
  • Leadership skills such as but not limited to conflict resolution, encouraging others and inspiring good work
  • Ability to take direction humbly and collaborate in order to define and pursue team goals
  • A positive outlook and attitude in taking initiative and problem solving, unprompted

Responsibilities

  • Must understand, promote and have a “Creekstone Proud” mindset
  • Provide support and clear explanations of product specifications and expectations to new hires
  • Track and evaluate all assigned new hire’s progress towards qualification
  • Make recommendations to Operations, HR and others regarding training needs, progress and concerns
  • Ensure all safety policies and expectations are being met by new hires, including PPE usage
  • Facilitate a positive overall experience for new hires through their qualification period
  • Develop and promote positive working relationships with Operations, QA, USDA and all others
  • Accurately maintain all required training documents and records
  • Contribute to a positive, safe and clean work environment by taking initiative and being an example
  • All other duties as assigned
