The Production Test Inspection Cell Leader - Product Delivery Center will provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through employee meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsible for engine test, pack, and shipment. Establish standards and expectation for work effort and performance, provide constant, consistent feedback on performance to those standards Effectively coach employees to improve performance when needed; communicate with other department personnel and customers to ensure customer satisfaction; work actively to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving production test goals; perform administrative functions as related to bargaining unit employees including maintaining training, quality and attendance records. Ensure that all employees are fully trained in required aspects of Environmental Health & Safety; ensure World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly. Ensure department equipment is clean, properly maintained, records and labels properly affixed, and uptime optimized while meeting all safety requirements. Ensure full involvement in CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) continuous improvement initiatives is consistently upheld; utilize CORE tools to improve production, performance, and reduce scrap, rework, and repair. Achieve CORE levels as planned. Demonstrate commitment to quality in actions, decisions, and communications. Ensure compliance to all Quality policies and procedures. Control quality, productivity and process flow to meet customer MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality or closely related industrial environment or a Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality or closely related industrial environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge and understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN
  • Experience with engine assembly and engine test; judgment in analysis of service and engineering data
  • Demonstrated leadership attributes and ability to influence business objectives
  • Experience with EH&S principles

Nice To Haves

  • STEM degree
  • Prior experience in a team lead/supervisory capacity
  • Understanding and ability to drive quality and customer satisfaction through CORE operating system
  • SAP user experience
