JOB PURPOSE The Cleaning Grit Blasting Technician involves cleaning, blasting, and chemical stripping of environmentally friendly coatings.

Requirements

• Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
• Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level.
• Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 50 pounds.
• Requires repetitive hand movement.
• Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Ability to operate basic machines and equipment and assist with troubleshooting problems with equipment.
• Exposure to materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Entry level.
• Experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Prepping components for stripping process
• Follow pre-established guidelines and instructions to perform job functions
• Use OEM and Proprietary design prints to ensure proper outcome
• Fabricate, modify fixtures and maintain department equipment
