About The Position

FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content. Key Responsibilities Automation & Switching: Execute on-air, live broadcasts by switching and coding via the Evertz MediatorX. Technical Operations: Utilize SSL Audio Console for live audio mixing. Operate light board and robotic cameras for floor managing. Route LiveU, network and satellite live-shots. Join Zoom meetings and record clips in BitCentral Live Coverage: Manage technical needs for both live, streaming and pre-recorded programming. Studio Maintenance: Handle physical studio needs including lighting adjustments and floor managing live newscasts. Flexibility: Cover vacation and sick leave shifts as assigned to ensure continuous broadcast operations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience at a broadcast television station.
  • Experience mixing sound for live news and a deep understanding of broadcast automation.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move equipment or studio flooring materials weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders and reach overhead to adjust studio lighting and equipment.
  • Ability to remain stationary (sitting or standing) for the duration of a live broadcast, often 3 to 5 hours at a time.
  • Must have excellent hearing for audio mixing and clear vision for monitoring multiple video feeds and color-coding.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours; early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays are required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under high pressure while maintaining a collaborative, team-first approach to all assignments.
