About The Position

As the Production Technician at Alcoa Technical Center (ATC ) , you will be responsible for manufacturing special components, while keeping safety, quality, and productivity standards. Your diverse set of skills, including strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work collaboratively with a team, will be essential as you: Perform operational tasks to meet project requirements, including forming, furnace and kiln loading/unloading, and maintain process equipment. Inspect production parts for quality, including density and dimensional measurements, and other checks. Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other mobile equipment as needed. Disassemble, repair, and troubleshoot equipment. Follow safety protocols and support Alcoa’s EHS standards, tools, and procedures with a strong safety mindset.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school — preferably in mechanical or electrical trades, but other fields are welcome ( such as vehicle repair, HVAC, c arpentry, metal work, millwork etc.)
  • Able to handle materials, weigh items, follow process steps in order, and record process data.
  • Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Able to lift up to 65 lbs. from waist level when needed.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must wear task-specific personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Comfortable working in a relatively noisy industrial environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to schedule changes, including shift adjustments.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
