About The Position
WFXT has an immediate opening for a Production Technician. The successful candidate’s duties will revolve around Broadcast Operations in a fast-paced Live News environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Broadcast environment, ideally in an operational role.
- Great attitude and proven ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to handle last minute changes in breaking news scenarios.
- Willingness and flexibility to assist in whatever role and/or shift is needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience Directing a newscast and handling all coordination that comes with live news, such as, organizing and incorporating a wide mix of broadcast components (satellite feeds, interviews, breaking news, server playback, advanced graphics systems, etc.) into each program
- Familiarity with Control Room Automation. Ross Overdrive or Sony ELC a plus
- Experience with iNews or comparable Newsroom systems
- Familiarity with Chyron or similar Graphics systems
- Familiarity with Prompting systems
- Experience with Robotic Cameras
- Familiarity with different Audio Boards
Responsibilities
- Duties will involve directing newscast using automation
- Directing talent in the studio
- Operating prompter as needed
- Operating audio during newscasts
