About The Position

The Production Technician IV is a senior-level position responsible for managing and overseeing complex assembly operations, providing technical leadership, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role involves extensive experience, leadership skills, and the ability to work on the most challenging assembly tasks. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5+ years as a technician or in a related field.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
  • Advanced experience in a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment.
  • Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of manufacturing principles.
  • Progressive experience with electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Advanced skills in assembly, soldering, and connectors.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Training certification.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
  • Knowledge of advanced manufacturing principles and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee complex assembly operations and projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the production team.
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in assembly processes.
  • Resolve advanced assembly issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and milestones.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of assembly activities and outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Evaluate and select new tools, equipment, and technologies for assembly.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Represent the production department in project planning and decision-making processes.
