About The Position

Control or operate machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery. Position Summary: Performs sequences of simple or complex operations required to operate or support the manufacturing processes. Uses tools, equipment and knowledge necessary to accomplish assigned tasks. Performs all work for which they are trained or have the ability to accomplish in a safe manner. Responsibilities

  • Operate the production unit in a safe and environmentally sound manner
  • Push/pull material up to 50 lbs.
  • Use hands to twist, grip, turn repetitively
  • Climb stairs up to 4 flights
  • Climb in and out of forklift
  • Operate powered industrial lift truck
  • Clean process equipment and work area on schedule
  • Assist in procedure preparation, writing and revisions
  • Have working knowledge of chemical hazards associated with HCL and Caustic
  • Perform unloading of railcars and tankers filled with HCL and caustic in a safe manner
  • Use electronic computer data bases
