About The Position

Perform electrical, mechanical, and lighting assembly and testing using standard and specialized test and measurement equipment in a manufacturing production environment. Perform work to standard work instructions and operating procedures. Work from blueprints and other specifications, using hand tools and test equipment Test faulty equipment and inspects mechanical and electrical units Controls diagnose malfunctions of units Repairs or replaces defective units and adjust equipment or machines Wire prep, abrading, Etch, prime, pre coat wires and connectors Able to work with working parts or components which require special care in handling or other procedures which require good dexterity and facility in use of a variety of hand tools May make minor procedural decisions in soldering, fitting, etc., but always within established guidelines Must be able to interpret instructions to mix various epoxies and paints for marking bonding Perform all appropriate and required documentation for technical assembly and test processes with calibrated tools and equipment. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Be able to verify quality of work, regarding, quality, assembly, solder, and lighting. Perform other assignments as required. Performs other duties as required Work Environment and Safety Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area Mandatory safety glasses in production locations

Requirements

  • Ability to read and understand blueprint drawings/specifications
  • Effective use of High School basic math and algebra
  • Read and understand internal procedures and policies.
  • Understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions.
  • Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook.
  • Vocational, High School diploma, or general education degree (GED); or
  • 1- 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge with using solder system, wire stripper and crimpers preferred
