About The Position

The Production Plant Technician has the responsibility for the operation and control of equipment used in the air separation plant. As well as, accountability for the care and maintenance of plant mechanical, instrumentation and electrical devices and equipment. The position may provide support to various types of processing plants in order to support startups, training and leave coverage for normal production technicians. Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Understanding of control valve functions and systems used to control flows & pressures on industrial tanks
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment in a plant environment
  • May be assigned and must be willing to work rotating shifts.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including, hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, ear protection, and possible respirator protection.
  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed for training or to support other sites.
  • Follows policies and procedures and adheres to notification procedures for vacation scheduling, floating holidays, and personal days off.
  • Fills in for vacations and emergency shift relief coverage as situations warrant.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree preferred in a technical field.
  • 1-3 years of industrial/cryogenic plant experience.
  • Water Treatment – understanding water treatment principles and equipment.
  • Refrigeration - A basic understanding of refrigeration systems.
  • Mechanical - Mechanically inclined.
  • Electrical/Instrumentation background.
