About The Position

Perricone Farms, a top citrus juice supplier based in Vero Beach, FL, is looking for a Production Technician 2 - Sanitation, to join our team. Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate depending on the shift Shift / Hours: 3rd Shift; Monday - Saturday @ 11:00pm to 7:30am Job Duties: As a Production Technician 2, you will be responsible for and rotate through a range of job duties, including but not limited to the following primary tasks: Sanitation Support: Oversee the sanitation-related aspects of equipment and machinery changeovers between production runs or shifts, ensuring all cleaning procedures are completed thoroughly, efficiently, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. Oversee Changeovers: Manage the setup and changeover of machinery and equipment between production runs or shifts, ensuring that each transition is completed promptly and accurately. Coordinate with Production Teams: Work closely with production teams to ensure that the transition process aligns with production schedules and goals. Optimize Efficiency: Strive to reduce downtime during changeovers by applying lean manufacturing principles, improving processes, and suggesting improvements to equipment or procedures. Equipment Preparation: Ensure that equipment is cleaned, calibrated, and prepared before new production begins, making necessary adjustments as required. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of changeover activities, including details about machine settings, product specifications, and downtime, and report findings to supervisors and management. Troubleshoot Equipment Issues: Identify and address any technical issues during the changeover process, coordinating with maintenance teams to resolve issues quickly. Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all changeover activities are conducted in accordance with safety guidelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Training and Support: Assist in training new team members on proper changeover techniques and best practices. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting ways to streamline changeover processes, improve equipment reliability, and reduce changeover time. Drug Free Workplace: Notifies supervisor of unusual problems. Works in accordance with all company policies and procedures. Follows health and safety guidelines. Maintain and keep work area according to cGMP. Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities: Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations. Conduct all verification activities to assure finished product comply with food safety and quality specifications. Participates in the yearly review of the food safety system. Assist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality system. Responsible for Non-GMO SGS Supply Chain Standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish helpful.
