About The Position

The Kalona Creamery Production Team Member is responsible for the manufacturing of high-quality, consistent food products while meeting safety, quality, and production standards. This position oversees the setup, operation, packaging, and cleaning of production equipment related to cheese and hummus manufacturing. This is a part-time position. Typical shift hours are Monday, Thursday, and Friday, 6am-2pm.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Food-related production experience preferred; food manufacturing experience is helpful.
Ability to read recipes and follow instructions.
Ability to read and record instrument data in English with attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, specifically legible handwriting.
Willingness and ability to lift to 50lbs and stand for the full shift.
Good attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexible and willing to learn and grow in the role.
High level of integrity and alignment with our mission, vision, values & operating principles.
Willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development.

Responsibilities

Produce high-quality, consistent food products in accordance with GMP standards.
Operate, package, and clean production equipment.
Meet established processing rates.
Support the Kalona Creamery production team members in various production-related tasks.
Maintain quality standards per specifications defined by State and/or Federal regulatory agencies
Stay current with required production technology.
Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures.
Perform additional duties necessary to make the business successful.
