Production Team Leader

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience required
- Demonstrated leadership or team lead experience preferred
- Strong understanding of production processes and quality standards
- Ability to motivate, coach, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35 pounds for extended periods
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as needed
Responsibilities
- Lead, direct, and support a team of Production Team Members during assigned shifts
- Ensure all team members follow safety policies, PPE requirements, and standard work procedures
- Monitor daily production performance and adjust staffing or workflow to meet targets
- Perform quality checks and ensure adherence to customer and company quality standards
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and development
- Coordinate shift start-ups, line changeovers, and end-of-shift handoffs
- Troubleshoot minor equipment, process, or quality issues and escalate when necessary
- Communicate production goals, updates, and concerns to team members and supervisors
- Maintain accurate production, quality, and downtime documentation
- Promote and maintain 5S standards and a clean, organized work environment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in problem-solving activities
- Assist with scheduling coverage, attendance tracking, and daily labor planning
- Address and resolve routine team member concerns and performance issues
