About The Position

Utz Quality Foods is excited to offer an exceptional Engineering co-op opportunity for students passionate about engineering, data management, and process improvement. As a Production Systems Co-Op, you'll work closely with the Utz Performance Management System (UPMS) team to support data analysis, reporting, and process optimization in a manufacturing environment. This is a Spring semester program requiring availability from January through May.

Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain a self-starter attitude.
Must be self-starter, detailed oriented, and possess ability to prioritize activities.
Excellent analytical, creative problem-solving skills.
Excellent technical, verbal, written and presentation skills.
Currently pursuing an Engineering bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

Experience with Python, SQL, or Tableau is a plus.
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI.
Familiarity with statistical packages for analyzing datasets.
Desired majors: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math disciplines, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
AutoCAD experience is a plus.
Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Gather and interpret data, analyze results, and produce actionable reports.
Develop and implement data collection standards and systems to ensure high-quality data.
Identify and correct errors in data through filtering and cleaning processes.
Collaborate with the UPMS team to prioritize data and information needs.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions.
Partner with IT to develop best practices and requirements for data warehouse reporting.
Assist in the design and maintenance of manufacturing databases.
Create data visualizations and reports using Power BI.
