About The Position

L3Harris i s seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Support Specialist to assist the production team to efficiently process work in accordance with a production plan and to promote and deliver high quality output. Works with Operations Management to execute a system of manufacturing standards following company policies and procedures. Encourages team members to drive continual improvement in their production area. Acts as the point of contact for questions in their assigned production area. The Production Support Specialist will also perform assembly work as required. This position is located in Orlando, FL.

Requirements

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior manufacturing experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

• Specialized level of knowledge in the final assembly of flight hardware.
• Good time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Moderate computer skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure they follow best practices and safety protocols.
• Perform monthly audits, i.e. toolbox audits, FOE audits, etc.
• Replenish production consumables across all manufacturing areas.
• Ensure calibrated tooling assigned to manufacturing is properly managed.
• Manage manufacturing shelf-life materials in all manufacturing areas.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and suggest changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Perform assembly tasks for the designated manufacturing area.
