About The Position

Quixote Studios is one of the nation’s premier Film and Television studios and production equipment rental company. We are now looking to add a Warehouse Staff / Driver position to join our NY team. This position is a great developmental opportunity for those who want to learn the in's and out's of the industry from a Rental House perspective. The Warehouse Staff/Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently loading, unloading, delivering and picking up equipment to and from our facility. They are also tasked with cleaning, testing and maintaining.

Requirements

  • Professional driving experience preferred - comfortable driving 16-24 ft box trucks.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Prior warehouse experience preferred.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment.
  • Strong communication skills with team members, clients, and management.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime as needed.
  • Please note, the candidate selected for this role will be required to complete a criminal background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) check, and drug screening.
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Commitment to working safely and following company policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Production industry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently pull and stage Quixote equipment for orders from the pull list paperwork in an organized manner. Determine if anything is short to generate a “short list”.
  • Deliver and pick-up expendables, production supplies, sub-rentals, purchases and repairs to and from client locations.
  • Follow delivery route instructions to ensure on-time delivery off equipment to the client location
  • Check and test all equipment to ensure proper functioning when it comes back from a client.
  • Test all mechanical and electrical equipment before it goes on rent.
  • Work with clients on the check-out and check-in process of equipment at the Quixote facility or on location and get signatures for all in and out contracts.
  • Help management with stock checks to maintain accurate inventory counts on a day in and day out basis so all orders are filled appropriately.
  • Communicate customer requests, order changes and/or paperwork specifications to a member of the management team. Always take notes of physical changes made when rental software is not available (on location, etc).
  • Safely operate lift gates and material handling equipment (fork, man and/or scissor lifts) to load, unload or restock equipment.
  • Load and unload trucks following all proper lifting, pushing, and pulling techniques.
  • Properly assess and complete minor repairs to equipment when able.
  • Maintain a clean work area and clean company vehicle at all times.
  • Operate all company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, following all state and DOT regulations at all times. Aggressive or irresponsible driving are terminable offences.
  • Read and follow road maps easily so as not to get lost in transit
  • Immediately report any issues/problems with vehicles to a member of the management team
  • Complete all tasks in a safe and timely manner.
  • All other duties as assigned by management and executive team.
