About The Position

Job Summary This position supervises all Secondary shift employees as assigned and complies with all safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• Able to set priorities and follow up daily on department performance.
• Must pass the equivalent of the US Work Keys level requirement for Supervisor.
• Willingness to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift as assigned. May be 5X8 or 4X12 shift.
• Must have excellent problem solving skills.
• The employee must have the ability to perform inspection functions such as visual inspection to detect cosmetic defects and color differentiation of products.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Any unscheduled absence or tardy will have a negative impact on our ability to meet our production objectives.

Nice To Haves

• Degree or Junior college training in mechanical technology or equivalent manufacturing industry experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all assigned personnel and operations on the third shift: 11pm - 7:30am.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
• Maintains reporting accuracy (worksheets and Oracle) and timeliness.
• Reviews daily (shift) production schedule to plan work and personnel assignments for the shift.
• Reports any process and equipment problems and follows up until resolved.
• Trains and measures production performance of assigned operators.
• Organizes work (schedule, set-ups, tooling availability) for smooth operations utilizing established "best business practices".
• Ensures that established policies, rules, regulations and procedures are followed.
• Responsible for all assigned processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the area and for meeting production quality and quantity standards.
• Troubleshoots problems as they occur.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Responsible that the correct material in the correct amount is issued to each job
