This position is located in Hamilton, Washington State. DEPARTMENT SUMMARY The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading one or more teams in the execution of all production processes. This position requires understanding of risk assessment and management as it relates to production and safety activities. The primary responsibility of the Production Supervisor is to ensure the assigned work is completed in a timely manner. This includes assigning and explaining daily tasks to technicians; monitoring work progress and compliance with policies and procedures; training and assisting technicians. The Production Supervisor uses judgment independently and makes difficult decisions (i.e. Layoffs, disciplinary actions, prioritizing multiple projects and hiring employees.) The Production Supervisor will work with the Operations Manager and Manufacturing Engineering to improve processes. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Manages processes to ensure that the product is manufactured in accordance with the documented customer requirements and work instructions Manage priorities and work assignments each day that are determined in conjunction with Operations Management Coordinates all production activities with Hamilton Ops, Hwy 20 Ops, Project Management and Cell Managers Provides training and assistance to cell leads on handling risk management, employee issues, work order issues, CDIs, or other problems or concerns as they arise Provides Risk management of facilities and work force Handles all facility related concerns as they arise and resolves operational/manufacturing problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Provide CDI inspections as needed Utilizes QCBD, SAP and Kronos (to monitor attendance; fix clock-ins, etc.) Works towards continuous improvement by building the technical skills of the team and constantly improving quality and efficiency Implements standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with JI standards, Safety, 5S, HazMat, AS9100 and NADCAP Standards and Practices Performs other duties as assigned Behavior: The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines.
