The Production Supervisor leads daily packaging operations ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality production. This role oversees the production team, coordinates workflow, and maintains compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. The supervisor is responsible for meeting production goals, optimizing labor and equipment performance, and drives continuous improvement across packaging processes Key Responsibilities Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Supervises the production activities of the packaging department and assists in solving complex business problems. Creates, modifies, and maintains daily production schedules, ensures high-quality standards, accuracy, and timeliness are met in customer orders. Ensures that production goals and deadlines are met. Ensures proper product rotation schedule is followed by employees. Reviews and continuously monitors production efficiencies and evaluates improvements to achieve optimum operations. Ensure the department is staffed appropriately to minimize downtime and optimize departmental efficiencies. Strives for continuous improvement in all processes (safety, quality, productivity, cost). Proactive management and coordination of training of appropriate personnel to minimize downtime and create cross-training opportunities. Communicates, administers, and enforces company rules, policies, and procedures consistently and equitably. Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, develops, and provides feedback to the production employees; manages schedules, and workflow. Carries out performance appraisals, coaching and mentoring, and performance improvement plans per HR guidelines. Supports and guides the team in resolving issues, building and sustaining relationships, and promoting teamwork within the team, with other departments, and with external parties. Provides training, development, and coaching to build expertise in all aspects of the Production department and create cross training opportunities to foster learning. Resolves employee issues in coordination with the HR Manager and utilizes progressive coaching techniques. Develops a motivated and superior workforce. Evaluates recurring problems and provides long-term business solutions. Maintains communication with other departments, including Maintenance, Warehouse, Quality, and Print. Implements and ensures compliance with all Safe Quality Foods (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) policies as applicable. Complies with company safety policies and maintains a clean and orderly work area. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
