About The Position

NPR of America, INC is a Tier I automotive supplier of premium pistons where People, Process, Power and Performance are what it's all about! We're seeking a 3rd Shift Production Supervisor at our Bardstown, KY facility. If you're looking for a job that is both challenging and rewarding, this could be a great fit for you! Our piston rings are hand crafted and go through a unique manufacturing process and you will be responsible for overseeing the operations process. The core hours for 3rd shift are 11PM - 7:10AM, Sunday through Thursday. This critical position will report to the Production Control Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related manufacturing supervisory position
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skill sets
  • Above average computer skills along with premium verbal, written and interpersonal communications
  • Must be able to multi task and stand/walk for long periods
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to lead people with respect and achieve results through positive relationships
  • Ability to think independently to trouble-shoot and creatively resolve problems

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing in a Tier I environment including TPS and or TPM is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of ISO certification process is a plus
  • Must be able to operate forklift and material handling equipment with safety and efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach and support team members in production/warehouse areas to ensure optimum production requirements are met
  • Coach, counsel and develop team members
  • Maintain time and attendance matters, lead performance management
  • Review department schedules to ensure adequate staffing is in place
  • Ensures SWI and P&P are followed with a focus on safety & quality practices
  • Conduct team meetings and update various production reporting metrics
  • Maintains effective working relationships and communications with all departments
  • Operates within budget and contributes to the overall reduction of overhead and expenses
  • Complies with EEO and AAP goals and employee development
  • Lead Plant Production initiatives and strategy
  • Promotes Employee Engagement
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
