Dolese Delivers: Stable Foundation Treat with Respect Safe Environments Employee Focus JOB SUMMARY The Production Supervisor oversees daily operational activities at Dolese’s aggregate sites, including pit and plant production (e.g., primary, secondary, chip, wash plants). This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant operations by leading hourly employees, supporting continuous improvement, and collaborating with the R&M Manager and/or Production Manager to coordinate workforce in meeting maintenance goals (Mobile and fixed equipment), production goals, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

  • Follow all company policies and local, state, and federal regulations for safe working procedures.
  • Champion Dolese’s Safety Always culture by developing and leading catwalk conversations and following the program outline in its entirety.
  • Promote and support the plant safety advocate(s) in their duties.
  • Ensure all hourly employees receive competent task training to safely perform job duties.
  • Ensure all safety training is properly documented in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to address safety, production, and plant cleanup needs.
  • Assist with environmental reporting and sampling requirements.
  • Support compliance with MSHA and other regulatory agencies.
  • Supervise daily activities of assigned hourly production and support personnel.
  • Schedule and adjust employee duties based on shift needs and production demands.
  • Coordinate with all plant shifts and management to achieve operational goals.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of plant and mobile equipment.
  • Evaluate and interpret plant and mobile equipment production and take corrective action when needed.
  • Manage production improvement projects on plant and mobile equipment when needed.
  • Work closely with drilling and blasting contractors to plan and coordinate operations.
  • Promote and enforce attendance requirements, observe employee behavior, and engage in catwalk conversations.
  • Conduct positive contact coaching and performance improvement discussions with hourly employees.
  • Assist with screening, interviewing, and hiring hourly personnel.
  • Ensure timely documentation of coaching and performance discussions.
  • Evaluate operational processes and procedures and recommend improvement to optimize operations.
  • Collaborate with vendors to assess product performance and develop cost justifications for capital improvements.
  • Support capital project planning and execution.
  • Conduct monthly stockpile inventories and adjust inventory balances.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular, reliable attendance at the assign worksite.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support plant safety, operational efficiency, and team development.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience in aggregate mining operations or equivalent other supervisory experience preferred.
  • General understanding of blasting, crushers, screens, conveyors, and associated processing equipment preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated safe work history and proactive safety mindset.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and ability to adjust to meet gradations.
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including swing shift, graveyard shift, overtime, and weekends as required.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to guide, motivate, and develop teams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude that build trust and foster strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey information, provide direction, and foster collaboration.
  • Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficient math skills relevant to production operations, including ability to figure stockpile volumes, conveyor belt speeds, sheave speeds, etc.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of aggregate processing equipment.
  • Ability to work near, around or on light and heavy equipment.
  • Currently possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform duties.
  • Associate’s degree in a related field with a willingness to obtain a bachelor’s degree in (Mining, Engineering or Construction Management) preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mining, Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
