About The Position

Auburn Manufacturing, Inc, having 2 plants(Auburn & Mechanic Falls), locally owned and operated for 46 plus years, is seeking a Production Supervisor to be based at our Mechanic Falls Plant.  This position, reporting to the Production Manager, assumes responsibility for manufacturing operations for the Mechanic Falls Plant. Works with Master Scheduler to schedule production for product orders. Supervises production personnel for two shifts. FULL TIME

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in manufacturing or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; textile manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Word, spreadsheets, databases, and production/inventory software.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and MRP; NetSuite experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel between company locations in Auburn and Mechanic Falls as needed.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising and supporting employees across multiple shifts.
  • Ability to obtain Fork Truck Operator certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in textile weaving and related machinery (opener, carding, Dref, twisting, looms) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production operations to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Partner with the Master Scheduler to meet customer orders and optimize workflow.
  • Manage raw material and finished goods inventory, including cycle counts and reporting.
  • Supervise production staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Monitor productivity and support departmental budgeting efforts.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to address production and scheduling needs.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Maintain safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards throughout the facility.
  • Support quality control through inspection oversight and participation in quality discussions.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation within the ERP system.
